Music Business for Musicians
Artefact 1 – Contract
I have included a contract that states any terms and conditions that may be required when arranging for a lesson. The contract outlines Payment terms, Cancellation policies, lesson times, intellectual property and a general understanding of respect between the tutor and student. Music business for musicians provides important knowledge and skills such as the understanding of legal and business-related agreements within the music industry as well as key skills such as negotiating, an understanding of legalities and how to present yourself within the music industry.

Artefact 2 - CV
A CV provides an overview of professional and academic achievements, this presents myself well to clients and potential employers for music tutoring, it also provides information on skills you've attained. Music business for musicians has taught me the importance of using a CV to display information and having a place to write down any achievements I've gained that could help promote myself.

Music Theory
Artefact 1 – Music Scores
I have created/ transcribed music scores for teaching purposes as an artefact; this will demonstrate my ability to read and write tabs/notes on a stave, teach theory concepts to students and teach basic melodies for beginners and difficult melodies for advanced players. It reflects what I've learned from music theory such as how to build scales, reading notation, understanding rhythms and key signature, building a vital backbone when making lesson plans for students.

Artefact 2 - Scales
I have included scales as they are essential for teaching as they demonstrate good: Technique, Theory and Tempo.
It allows me to critique some ones ability on a given instrument; also acting as a warm up before you play as well as general knowledge for when you solo over chords. It reflects what I've learned in music theory as it shows an understanding of basic tools to use whether it be to solo over chords, using it to make tabs up or warming up before a lesson, all important knowledge to learn when learning an instrument or music theory.

Artefact 1 – Video
I have included videos as it showcases my technical ability, the ability to play in front of others and demonstrates actions within a lesson, this is vital in the marketing/promotion phase of the project. This requires technical skills on how to operate a camera, photography skills and organisational skills.
Artefact 2 - Stage Plan
I have included stage plan as it demonstrates how you should organise yourself in front of an audience and what way you should act when dealing with an audience, these skills tie into music tutors as you need to be aware of how you should present yourself to someone in a lesson. This requires excellent communication skills and organisational skills.

Composition
Artefact 1 – Guitar Pro
I have include guitar pro as it is a program which allows you to write music scores digitally this is an important skill have as you will have to make copies of the materials you make. This requires good computer skills, organisation skills and music theory knowledge
Artefact 2 - Ableton
I have included Ableton since it is a DAW (Digital, Audio, Workstation) that allows you to write and produce music that can be used to enhance lessons by providing a better quality of music and to teach people the basics of using a DAW, you need good computer skills, music skills and general knowledge of producing.
